PLOT
When a doctor informs Rike, a 47-year-old conservator, that she is entering menopause, she can’t believe it - she feels young and attractive. Her ex-husband Richard (Miroslav Nemec) agrees and advises her to finally find a new partner. At an art opening she meets a young, attractive Japanese man named Gen (Hyun Wanner) and falls head over heals in love. Gen doesn’t seem opposed to the relationship either. But there is something Rike doesn’t know: Gen is in love with his friend Thomas (Siegfried Teerporten). The young homosexual man sees Rike as a suitable marriage partner to secure his residency in Germany. When Richard announces his plans to marry his girlfriend, Rike does not want to be left behind. Thomas, however, begins to feel increasingly jealous about this marriage of convenience that he instigated. He and Rike begin an angry struggle for Gen’s affection, using all means at their disposal, regardless of the consequences.
