PLOT
After their son Joschi died while on a mountain hike with his father, the only thing that remains between the parents Moritz und Eva is speechlessness. The volcanologist is only too pleased when he receives an invitation to travel to Teneriffa. Sofia, a pretty Spanish woman, lives at the foot of the Teide mountain. In no time their relationship becomes intense, leading Moritz to even consider moving to the volcanic island; but then Eva unexpectedly turns up on Teneriffa.
PRESS
“The director Claudia Garde has often demonstrated her mastery of the entire scale of television movies, from ambitious to emotional - for example in the fantastic 'Paulas Schuld' (Paula’s guilt) (2001) with Ulrike Krumbiegel or 'Die Frau am Ende der Straße'.” (The woman at the end of the street), a highly praised drama about neighbors. "
MONSTERSANDCRITICS.DE
“Although not a lot happens, the director Garde manages to lend a strong inner suspense to Benedict Neuenfel’s superbly designed images on Teneriffa.”
KINO.DE
“... the camera (Benedict Neuenfels) and direction scan with concentration and precision the landscape of Moritz Jung’s soul, with the very fitting images of the jagged, bare volcanic region of Teneriffa.”
